Yes, The Baltimore Ravens are the most dangerous team in the AFC right now, and the rest of the league should be put on notice. Ever since Joe Flacco got hurt, Baltimore is 5-1 with rookie quarterback Lamar Jackson starting at quarterback. The Ravens have been a different team with Lamar Jackson at quarterback, and have cemented themselves as legitimate contenders.
Since Lamar Jackson has become the starting quarterback the Ravens have averaged 218.5 rushing yards per game, which is crazy to think about at any point in a season. The Ravens went from one of the worst rushing attacks, to the second best rushing yards per game in six games. Jackson was taken with the 32nd overall selection and was the fifth quarterback taken off the board. He has been a huge time player for the Ravens, and does have a good arm which he showed off last night against the Chargers.
Yes, having Lamar Jackson lead the Ravens to a 5-1 record is an impressive thing to see, but it is Baltimore’s defense that has been a big part of why the Ravens have turned it around after their 4-5 start. The Ravens are top five in yards allowed per game, passing yards allowed per game, and rushing yards per game which is one of the better accomplishments that we have seen defensively in recent memory. Nobody wants to play the Baltimore Ravens in the playoffs right now if they make it, and teams should be scared of their defense.
