The NFL playoffs are officially upon us! We at “From The Sidelines” are making our picks for who will move on to the Divisional round to face the top seeds! Here are our picks:
#3 Houston vs #6 Indianapolis

The rubber match between these two teams will be a good one. Each team lost their home game against the other this season but that will change this week. DeShaun Watson will be too much for the Colts defense to handle and the Texans will move on to their inevitable January defeat at Gillette stadium.
Houston 34 Indianapolis 24 (Kevin)
This wild card matchup has the potential to be a shoot out and we could see a very 2013 wildcard matchup esque game where the Colts beat Kansas City 45-44. At the end of the day I strongly believe that Andrew Luck who has three playoff loses who were against Baltimore and the New England Patriots is the big reason why the Colts move on and head to Arrowhead Stadium in the Divisional Round
Indianapolis 31 Houston 27 (Chris)
#4 Baltimore vs #5 Los Angeles

The Ravens emerged victorious in the week 16 matchup between these two teams after the Ravens defense shut down Philip Rivers and the Chargers offense. That won’t happen again. Lamar Jackson has a great future ahead of him in the NFL, but Rivers get the upper hand this week in Baltimore.
Los Angeles 27 Baltimore 14 (Kevin)
In Week 16, Baltimore’s defense showed us how truly elite that they really are, and will put a repeat showing in this wild card matchup. Eric Weddle is a former Charger and will play with a chip on his shoulder this Sunday. This will be a very defensive game and I think Lamar Jackson does just enough for the Ravens to move onto New England for the Divisional Round.
Baltimore 23 Los Angeles 17 (Chris)
#3 Chicago vs #6 Philadelphia

The Eagles snuck into the playoffs because their savior, Nick Foles, returned to the starting role. However, the Foles magic will officially die in Chicago. Bears in a landslide.
Chicago 42 Philadelphia 10 (Kevin)
Nick Foles is indeed Philadelphia’s lord and savior, as they went from being Super Bowl Champions to not making the post season, until Foles saved the day. Chicago’s defense has been the story all season, and they will continue to see success in Wild Card Weekend. Foles keeps it close, but at the end of the day the run of Philadelphia at the top officially comes to a close.
Chicago 24 Philadelphia 17 (Chris)
#4 Dallas vs #5 Seattle

Dallas has proven me wrong a few times this season but I still don’t have any faith in them. If Zeke Elliott gets shut down, it’s all on Amari Cooper. If Cooper gets shut down, it’s all on Elliott. Seattle gets the job done and travels to New Orleans to take on the Saints.
Seattle 24 Dallas 20 (Kevin)
Dallas’ offense turned into a whole different team after the acquisition of wide receiver Amari Cooper. One thing that Dallas will struggle with is their passing game against that savvy Seattle defense. Wilson leads them to victory as his defense helps carry the Seahawks to the Divisional Round.
Seattle 24 Dallas 17 (Chris)
