Super Bowl Odds: Philadelphia Eagles

What a difference a year makes as the Philadelphia Eagles are your reigning Super Bowl Champions and were the number one seed a year ago. In 2018 though, they struggled on and off the entire year before making the playoffs through the wild card with their 9-7 record and finished the 2018 season with the sixth seed in the NFC. Their offense struggled the entire season due to injuries and nobody could seem to get it going.

Until Nick Foles became the starting quarterback and all of a sudden the wheels on offense turned on and the Eagles beat two playoff teams to earn their spot as the sixth seed in the NFC, and to go to Chicago Sunday Afternoon for Wild Card Weekend.

So Philadelphia’s potential run at the Super Bowl they would have to win every game on the road this post season. Including winning in Chicago who has a top five defense and were 7-1 at home in 2018 while allowing 17.5 PPG at Soldier Field. Then they would have to go down to New Orleans to play the team with the best overall record in the New Orleans Saints in the divisional round. Finally if they make it to the NFC Championship they would play on the road at either Los Angeles, Dallas, or Seattle which all have really good defenses.

Philadelphia had a great run last season before and after Carson Wentz went down. If anybody could lead Philadelphia to another historic run it would be Nick Foles, but I believe his luck has run out. It was a good ride, but the Eagles could win one game on the road, but definitely not three.
