Super Bowl Odds: Dallas Cowboys

After a rough 3-5 start and the potential of Dallas relieving Jason Garrett of his duties as the head coach, the Cowboys won 7 out of their last eight games to secure not only a playoff spot, but the NFC East title as well. In that span Dallas beat teams such as Philadelphia (2 times), Atlanta, and New Orleans which is a good run of games for the Cowboys.

One thing that the Cowboys seemed to do right this season was the trade for Amari Cooper. Cooper has solidified himself as a number one receiver for Dak Prescott, and has been a nightmare for opposing defenses. A combination of Cooper and Elliott has been a huge deal for Dallas who struggled early on the first half of the season.

Dallas does have a young defense, and shown true signs of potential during the regular season. The Cowboys will go as far as their defense allows them to, and as far as how effective Ezekiel Elliott and Amari Cooper play as well. Let us look quickly at their road to Atlanta which includes them beating a tough Seattle team, then going on the road against either New Orleans or Los Angeles.

Why I don’t think Dallas goes to the Super Bowl is because they will have to do something that they haven’t done since 1992 and that is win a road playoff game. Also with the potential of having to win two games on the road is something the Cowboys haven’t done since 1975.
