#5 – Los Angeles Chargers – Kevin’s Super Bowl Percentage: 17%

Despite finishing the season tied for the best record in the AFC, the Chargers find themselves playing on wild card weekend. A 12-4 record wasn’t enough to get them a bye or even a home game in the wild card round, which shows how the NFL playoffs are flawed. Their record and talent shows that the Chargers will be a tough out.
Led by veteran quarterback, Phillip Rivers, the Chargers had the 6th highest scoring offense in the NFL. With weapons like Rivers, Melvin Gordon, Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, and Tyrell Williams, Los Angeles will cause headaches for any defense they face in the playoffs. That includes the Baltimore Ravens, who they’ll be facing on Sunday. The Ravens allowed the 2nd fewest points in the NFL this season, which means they’ll put up probably the toughest fight the Chargers will face in the playoffs. The Chargers were held to only 10 points by the Ravens in week 16 but as with most things, the going can be a little bit easier the second time around.
To be quite honest, I feel the Chargers are one of the toughest outs in the NFL playoffs this season. I only have their odds so low because they got a terrible draw. They not only have to play on AFC wild card weekend, they have to play the tougher opponent in the Baltimore Ravens. If Los Angeles can get through Baltimore, they’ll be heading to Kansas City or New England. Both of those teams will be tough to beat at home but the Chargers can do it. I list their odds as low but that’s only because of the brutal draw they got. Keep an eye out on the Chargers though.
